 Kid's Track
All,
I am new to Round Con and am bringing my daughter (11). I heard there is a Kid's Track and would like to know; what has been done in the past and if any plans have been made this year?
Thanks!

 Re: Kid's Track
There is a kid's track, and there will be several offerings. I'm not sure we'll have every round covered, but there will be plenty for her to do.

Howdy!
Last year we had a D&D game, Super hero Game, Harry Potter RPG and a few others running through the con. Typically we take a normal RPG and simplify it for the kids. In some cases, like the Harry Potter game and Superhero game, the system is designed by the GMs.
I love seeing kids being able to game, since it most cases that is what the parents do as well.

 Re: Kid's Track
How is the line-up for the Kids Track looking? I have registered for one game (pending approval). But if more games are needed to fill all the slots, I can run a second one. Please let me know. Thanks

 Re: Kid's Track
I'm going to run a game Star Wars for the kids track. I figured with the popularity of the Clone Wars cartoon it would be something fun to do.

 Re: Kid's Track
I'm sure Delia (11) is looking forward to Lizz's game, and I know she would like an SW game, although I think she's only familiar with the original movie (Episode 4, that is). Sounds like a great track so far.

 Re: Kid's Track
I just saw that Lizz is running Zorceror of Zo for the kids' track. That is really cool -- I may just sit around and listen . (Although I must admit that I always end up in the board game room, despite my best RPG intentions -- except when I'm hanging around disrupting Harlequin's sessions).

 Re: Kid's Track
I just wanted to say thanks again to everyone who organized and ran games for the kids' track this year -- Delia played in games run by Lizz, Jill, Jaguar, and Brian, and I heard about them all. The kids' track really is what keeps us coming back; it and the manageable size of the con are key factors when I have to choose between Roundcon and other events.

 Re: Kid's Track
Delia is an excellent player, and I enjoyed running my game for her. I hated that I had to cut Star Wars short, but I didn't want to deprive the kids to play in that last session. We may let Balin stay the weekend next time to add another kid to the track.
